The Northeast Region is proud to announce
Academy Scholarships for Councils.
The NYLT Leadership Academy Scholarship
is designed to encourage all Councils to send youth to the Academy.
The objective is all Councils conduct world-class NYLT courses.
Every council receives one
scholarship, just send enough youth and qualify.
Qualify for a NYLT Leadership Academy Scholarship by meeting these criteria:
If your council did NOT attend NYLT
Leadership Academy last
year; send two youth and the second youth is free!
OR
If your council attended
NYLT Leadership Academy last
year; send four youth and the fourth
youth is free!
How:
In the online
registration form select YES for Scholarship? AND in the Registrar Notes
field enter "NYLT" (without the quotes). This will bring up
the Council Point of Contact form. Complete this form with the
contact at your council office who can approve the scholarship and they
will be contacted for confirmation.
If you have questions on the scholarship or how to fill
out the online registration contact volunteer Mary Tomchuk. She is
handling the registration and payment administration.

NYLT Leadership Academy Program:
The focus
of
this
program
is
on
inspiring
and
enabling
participants to
deliver
effective, world
class
National Youth
Leadership Training courses
in their
local Councils with special
emphasis
on improving
presentation skills, evaluation skills,
and on learning in more depth
the NYLT
leadership skills.
Participant
Qualifications:
This course is for Boy Scouts
and Venturers who meet the following qualifications:
 | Have completed your council National Youth Leader Training (NYLT). If your council does not have a youth leader training program, you may still qualify by working with a council representative to become familiar with the NYLT Staff Guide. |
| Have served, or have been recommended to serve, on the staff of your local council NYLT. |
| First Class rank or above; or a Venturer. |
| Fourteen years of age by the opening day of course, but not yet 18; or if a Venturer not yet 21. |
| Willingness to take back to your council NYLT the knowledge and skills acquired. |
Fees: The course fee is $350 per participant.
