                                         YSDC Scholarship Application

The Northeast Region is proud to announce YSDC Scholarships for qualified Councils.

The YSDC Scholarship is designed to encourage Councils that did not send youth to YSDC in 2008 to send at least two youth in 2009.  The objective is for all Northeast Region Councils to conduct the best NYLT course possible by sending NYLT youth staff to the NER Youth Staff Development Course.

Qualify for a YSDC Scholarship by meeting two requirements:

  1. Your Council did not send any youth to YSDC in 2008 and
  2. Your Council will send at least two youth to YSDC in 2009

Then you will receive one YSDC Scholarship for the second youth to attend YSDC in 2008 at no cost.

How:
Recruit at least two future NYLT youth staff to attend YSDC in 2009.  Complete the YSDC Scholarship application, include the completed YSDC participant forms and mail to the Northeast Region office.

“YSDC was a life changing experience. I learned so much on presenting, evaluating, and leadership. I am going to take so much information back to my YLT. The staff at YSDC is so much fun and enthusiastic that you feel like staff. I learned a lot and it is something I will remember and use for the rest of my life. Thank you YSDC.”

Dan, Chester County Council, 2007 YSDC Graduate
